Yeah, those bars that fill up while you're fighting, take them off? It ruins the game for a lot of people Or at least make it optional?

For those on dial-up, they cause hideous lag. Personal experience. My computer ran quest just fine on dorm internet. When I got home to dial-up...lag.

It'd be one thing if the bars moved slowly...but they don't. I like this suggestion(I know, it's a couple days old)

Mr. Dhitey. They move plenty slow on dial-up, trust me. It takes ten seconds or more for a three hit fight on a beefy, oh so beefy computer.

Ya i have to agree with the idea to make them optional. They slow my quest down on a P4 with a gig of ram which can run anything else at max grafix. Pop on quest and battles drag... then again it IS a celron, but w/e if they were optional that would be cool, or if the interval that they update at was changed... so it updates 4 times (25%, 50% 75% 100%) instead of 100 times or whatever its at now... only way i know this is since quest has been going down i have been trying my hand more hardcore into programming and status bar type things like that tend to lag the program. Make them optional and make it easier on us without AMD processors

Lol, how do you have a p4, and at the same time, a Celeron? You do raise a good point though... Many more seemingly complex games have an easier time on certain computers, but Quest manages to dwarf the same computers.

heal? .... hahahhaha NOOB well, not all of us are #1 in HP o_O 1. MysticBat has 4037 maximum health points. * Jabberwockee has 1/9th that >.< also, i like the battle bars as well, and im not on one of the particular processors that tend to lag it, but if it does cause lag for some people, it should definately be an option... OR there could be an alternate Client for with the bar or without the bar... that seems easier than having the option, to me... but ive never even looked in to any type of programming >.< the extent of my knowledge is how to open up ps2 games and sift through the coding for something i can alter with Action Replay, but thats just hex and hacking

Jon, Athlon 64 FX-55 2.8gig processor with the bus running at processor speed, 2gigs of ram(Would be 4 but one came corrupted. Still waiting on the stupid company to replace it.), and dual NVIDIA cards running SLI.
My quest battles lag, but I can run FarCry and Doom 3 full blast. I can run multiple copies of older games running full blast at the same time as eachother. But my QUEST battles lag. Derp.

holy son of a mother, thats a good computer, blows mine outta its hole...
ya when i get my lappy im getting an AMD processor just because it seems to run quest oh soo much faster.
anyways, i still say make it an option. That or make Quest run off of ram instead of whatever.
wait a minute... why would quest lag on that krazie getup? thats just weird. That shouldnt happen.

ya but that would be connection speed with the server, this is about the scrolly bar causing program lag on the computer. The server could be RIGHT THERE and it would still lag because the scrolly bar is a problem...

There you go Jon. Scroll up you derpaderp head. Dial-up connections can't handle the scrolling battle bars, especially bad dial-up connections out in the middle of the country, like mine.
