I had a friend that was really into chess, so I challenged him and ran chessmaster at the same time. Then I played the moves chessmaster did onto yahoo. Was really funny when I told him what happened.

lol celtic, u didnt give many people much time to answer ur post did u? according to the timestamps i see, (EST) the first post was at 9:31 am and the second was at 11:07 am, an hour and a half later, yet from ur second post u'd think it had been days between the post. You have to give some time to get replies, especially on a weekday during time when people are either at work or at school. Anyway, I use to play chess a lot myself, but havent played much in years, although the last game I played was only a few months ago. Maybe some day we could play, who knows.

I was the second best person in chess club in high school... I could never beat this one guy. I am the only person that he had to put his book down and actually think to beat... so, I'm proud of that. On the other hand, I got beat by a guy who was reading a book for half the match... so that makes me kinda sucky then I guess, any thoughts Hoya? do I suck or am I semi skilled? sets self up for horrible criticism Huh

lol thats ok to get beat by someone readin a book, when i was in 9th grade, one teacher held "tournaments" where he would play 30+ people at once, open to anyone in the high school and if anyone won they got a prize (which I cant remember what it was now, but it was a pretty good prize).  There were 2 tournies during that year, and the one I saw he played 37 people at once, won 35 games, tied (stalemate) 2 of them. that means out of all 37 games, nobody beat him.  Some people are just really good at chess and dont need to give their full attention to just a game, and so its not bad to get beaten by someone reading a book while they play TMG

That's seriously hardcore.  I played against this one guy who was in the Oregon nationals, and whenever he killed one of my peices he would say,"Die!!" And slam his peice on top of mine, so that it would fly off to the side somewhere. It was the most fun I've ever had when I played chess... except when I beat my oldest brother, who's like 4 times smarter than me.

the most fun ive ever had playing chess is what we called team chess. like 4 people are playing 2 games of chess (2 on each board) but ur playing as partners. like one team is white on one board, black on the other , and vice versa. the fun part is that when one person captures his opponent's piece, he then hands that piece to his teammate who can then put that piece on his board (starting at only the first 3 rows of his side of the board) as a turn (which explains why they have to play as opposite colors in the games) and this goes on back and forth until 1 game is over (checkmate or stalemate), at which time the remaining game continues to play, but no longer has new pieces coming in, he/she can only add the pieces his/her partner gave before ending the other game. It takes a while to get used to, and can take a long time to play, but its fun and can lead to a lot of weird combos of pieces being on the board (like one time i had 3 bishops 3 rooks and 3 knights playing against a guy with 2 queens and 3 knights) it can get confusing at times, but it was fun to play.

yeah hoya i might play you at chess if your up to it, oh and we also played the team chess game in my chess class, my teache called it debug i believe.  It was a fun game, but i have  noone to play chess agains anymore so theresno way i would be able to play the team chess game "debug".  I hop to play chess because at one point in time i was beating my chess teacher now i am probably so rusty that i might no even be able to beat a child at chess, but no offense to any children i was just using that as an example.
ny no means to mean to offend  look at bobby fiisher one of the best chess players alive and started at 10 or so if i am correct.

oh hoya999 i used to play the same game they called it debug. where you had a partner and your partner was the opposite color of yours so when you took a piece they could play it anywhere in reason on the board that was a really fu game i played that when i was in chess class in "CSAL" Community School For Apprenticeship Learning. Good school and "EBRATS" was a good school to East Baton Rouge Arts And Technology School....  The year i dropped out of EBRATS they were starting to teach people how to program video games and do the graphics and ect.  I wish i could go back to that school and finish it was a good school. But, the only thing i disliked about it was the fact you had to go to school from 8AM to 5PM. But, atleast you got a hour lunch break and you could go anywhere within a couple blocks for break i used to go down to the levee and smoke weed or go to the abandoned building. Never got caught. I look back on when my mom died and i think to myself I think she would have wanted me to stay in school and graduate. But, I dropped out to help take care of her. What a big freaking help i was....  I smoked cigarettes at the time and still do when she had enphazema or however it's spelled and i got her to buy us cigarettes and she ended up smoking... If i wouldn't have pushed her to buying the cigarettes i don't think she would have smoked...But,than again she probably would even if we didn't push her into buying them...
I guess i still kind of blame myself for her dying so soon. Because, if it weren't for that she may have lived another 5-15 more years. Anyway, i suppose there is nothing i can do now. I only wish i could go back in time even though that physically impossible and change some things in my past and maybe even help extend her lifespan even though i am not a scientist or a doctor i suppose i couldn't have helped her because her lungs were so coated with tar and the little hairs in the lungs were burn't and her lungs were so enlarged that they pushed her other organs in to places they weren''t supposed to be. i just wish now that i could die and see my mother in heaven or whatever lies beyond death. i try to be a christian believer and believe jesus died on the cross for our sins and believe that god took her for a reason and that god only puts so much on your shoulders that you can handle. But, at the same time i am sceptical about there being anything beyond death than rotting in the ground. Don't get me wrong i am not afraid of death. But, at the same time i want to have children one day and teach them from my mistakes and teach them from right and wrong. I guess these past3-5 years i have i hsve changed alot for the better. but, i can't change the way people think about me including jouser...... Oh by the way jouser your a hipocrit you should read the terms and conditions do they not aply to you? Or is someone gonna bann your ip too?  lol not likely you racist prick.  Thats all i have to say i won't have anything to do with quest anymore other than this post which will most definately be deleted by jouser or a moderator. love, peace and before you judge someone else put yourself in their shoes maybe someone may have led someone on and if you where there you would have known..... peace
