I'm going to put this as simple as possible. Make them less useless.

(Natural HP growth would not be a bad idea, so long as it wasn't like 2 or more a level.)

If you did that then every race would have to get a extra in something. like def or dex or int

Well, that's the general idea. But don't you think it's bad enough that the other races get 3 or more mp per level?

mmhmm non-mages getting a few hp a level... good idea

maybe have a hybrid race which gets 1hp 3mp a level im sure everyone would go for that
