I gad the same feeling that it wasn't counting or something. there are some threads that are left out from counting like the role playing one. didn't think the tavern was one though  |

Yes Lyrael is absolutely correct. Post counting works correctly but only if you post to the Bugs or Suggestion forum. This is something I imagine MysticBat, Dlorak, or Shiris configured in the past? I guess it sort of makes sense....  |

I did not ... I remember disabling it for the roleplaying thing. Who disabled it for the tavern etc.? Do we want it back? I know I do (except for roleplaying) And if people start spamming useless posts just for their postcount I can easily remove a few hundred posts |

I remember tavern posts being cut out awhile ago for some reason..something about people spamming the tavern boards just to get their post counts up. Doesnt bother me either way honestly. Besides isnt that what forums are for |

I wasn't going to mention it (in public) considering I thought I was the only one who was pissed off by the rancid spam. I put a 3day ban on Joundill on sunday, deleted bout 15 "yes" and "good idea" posts from him as well. It officially become more than annoying when he ruined the sense of continuity of the threads. I dont care about post counts at all, but I know some people *looks at MR* at least consider it relevant. (I exclusively use date-registered as the 'experience indicator (at a lack for a better name for the topic at hand).) Because some people do consider post count, I dont want to take that away just to prevent pointless messages *looks at Joundill*, but the alternative is the mods banning those who make a ton of unconstructive posts in suggestions. I guess I'll make a poll, 1. no post count? 2. ban pointless posters from the suggestions forum. (by IP if it becomes necessary) 3. - let our forums be riddled with crap 4. any other solution Im missing? |

I've been in favor of removing post counts ever since this forum was installed and y'all decided to keep the "ranks" for certain amounts of posts.
