Please check to see if your question has already been asked below.  If not perform a forum search before making a new post.  Thanks for your cooperation.

Q. I just made a new account.  How do I get my password?
A. Use the Quest password emailer found here If you use Hotmail make sure to turn down your junk filter and or check your junkbox for the Quest password email.

Q. I have Vista and Quest disappears after signing in. What should I do?
A. Make sure you download the latest Vista updates.  Quest should work after installing those.

Q. What should I do if I'm having display problems?
For starters, this game requires your DPI to be set to normal (96)
  • -You can do this by right-clicking on your desktop, clicking properties
  • -Clicking on the settings tab
  • -Clicking the advanced button
  • -Right there in the general tab, change the dropdown menu value to "Normal size (96 DPI)"
That's for Windows XP, but it's not all that different in Windows 98, DPI settings is somewhere in the advanced window. You'll have to restart when you change. Then, make sure you get on 1024*768.[/tt]

Q. I keep getting Resource # not found errors.
A. You're missing critical game files.  You will need to reinstall.

Q. The characters/people/sprites in the game are disappearing or blinking.  This problem affects Windows 95, 98, 98SE, ME.
A. Microsoft has a critical memory leak in one of their DLLs. You need to download this patch and replace your DLL with a fixed version.
Some explanation on the zip:
  • Download the zip file
  • Extract it somewhere on you harddrive
  • Use the search function in windows to locate your current msimg32.dll
  • Now copy the msimg32.dll from the zip file which in in the folder of your corresponding OS (I.E. ../Msimg32/98 SE/msimg32.dll) into the location where you found the original one (C:/windows/system/msimg32.dll ??)
  • Click on Start -> Run and type "regsvr32 c:\windows\system\msimg32.dll" and click OK
[/tt]

Q. How do I fix Run Time Error 339: Component cswsk32.ocx or one of its dependencies is not correctly registered; a file is missing or invalid..
A. Download and install this file.

Q. Rune Time Error '76' : Path Not Found.
A. Download and reinstall Quest.

Q. .
A. Click IGNORE.

May i also add that it helps to find the problem (and fix it) if you post a detailed account of what the error is, what you were doing before the error occurred, and what is happening now.

The more details you give, the easier it is to fix the problem.

You revived a dead, stickied thread. O-o

Oh well.  Also, try and contact a QO or QMO so they can get the word to Dlorak or Jouser.

Since theres been a few clients in the last little while, adding a version number to your bug reports just makes sense. that way if theres a new client we can assume its fixed and move on. (im seeing multiple PK bug reports, one from last version, one from this one, hence the suggestion)

Also, a longcat is fine too.

Did anyone fix this or is everyone too lazy to delete it?

If no version is given, assume it's the latest?
