i think ppl should be able to buy lvls, or rather exp. Like a school or somthing you pay mney and you get educated. Now lets think about this.... it cant be broken (too good) abd we all know we need somwhere to put sink gold. anyone playing for over a month will notice gold builds up pretty fast. I been here about 2 months (maybe 3) and have spent over 150 mills on stuff/gifts/etc. anyways, where was i? Oh yess So we cant make it too cheap to buy lvls, but we want ppl to use it... so heres my idea (i said it b4 submerged in an old post somwhere, im re-saying it here so we can chat about this solely instead of this and everything else) lets say it costs 100 gold per exp. a lot? too much? i dont know, suggest your own amounts. now take a noob. lets say you have 10 000 exptnl, and you make maybe 500 to 1k gold per monster.... its about as fast fighting monsters as it is buying that lvl... now lets say your lvl 200 or whatever, and have 500 000 exptnl... thats gonna cost you 50 mills to get the exp to lvl now the upside to this is you can spend gold and get stat points to spend. the downside is your perry/dodge wouldnt go up, nor would your attack skill exp. so whaddya think? not a replacement to normal lvling, just an alternitive.

I like it, however the price seems hella steep, 50 mills for just 1 level at 200?

Well, if you work for the gold to get a level, then you're already leveling? They might as well change how experience works...

the idea of buying lvls inst to replace the work of lvling, but rather to supplement it... that and if it costs 50 mills to lvl at 200 then thats good because you would only be able to buy lvls once in a blue moon

hmm good idea but one comment is that maybe the price goes up from when you are lvl 1- lvl 1000 then it stops like at lvl 10 you are paying 5 gold per exp and at lvl 1000 you are paying say 70-100 gold per exp
maybe
x=your lvl and you pay x210 or something like that

Nah, then people give other people money so they can level up and all that. If this comes into play, it needs some work. Might as well multiply exp by something, and divide earned gold by something so that it can't be abused. I think the best money sink is not earning as much.

well consider at lvl 200 it costs, say, 500k exp to lvl, and lets say each exp costs 100 gold, that means it costs 50mills to lvl. now lets say your higher lvl and you need a mill exp to lvl... thats 500 mills to buy ONE lvl... really, who has a spare 500 mills to give away? and sure there may be a bit of a buying spree, but once the stockpiles have gone down i dont think it would be that much of a problem. I see what your saying tho if this does happen we cant make it too easy to buy the lvls... taking gungrave's lvl 900 to 901... whats the exptnl gonna be like on that? HUGE. add 2 zeros at the end of that number and i dont think this idea is "broken" and joundill the price isnt according to the lvl its according to the exptnl, if it were to the lvl i see how that may work but seeing as exptnl gets pretty big pretty fast i thought that would be the best bet

if it is going to be too expensive, nobody will use it I will never buy a level for 50 mill to get from 200 to 201 50 mill takes a few days to get 500K experience is less then 10 minutes
So to make it usefull it has to be ALOT cheaper

well then instead of 100 gold per exp maybe 10 gold per exp? I was just suggesting a price i have no idea what the exptnl is for you higher lvl types the one thing we need to be cautious about is if you make buying lvls too cheap ppl will abuse it... too expensive and nobody will use it... we need a happy medium. MR what price do u suggest?

Ive never been against the idea... but I agree with the concern that it could be abused. How bout no buying levels before 200, 0.1 gold/xp? For some examples: lvl200 - 1600000 lvl250 - 3125000 lvl300 - 5400000 lvl400 - 12800000 lvl500 - 25000000 the linear approx of cost to buy from lvl200 to 300 is 100*(1.6+ 5.4)/2 = 350mil 300-400 being 100*(5.4+12. /2 = 910mil Mind you the linear approx is a rather large over approximate, but the numbers are close... Too cheap? Too expensive?

rofl, he asks a question and you agree? Jon: My EXPTNL is over 10 million Dlorak: it's early ... but I don't get your calcs with 0.1gold/exp What would it cost to get from 1300 to 1400 for example? maybe it's easier to talk in single levels, because nobody will buy himself 100 levels at once 10 mill tnl = 0.1/10000000 ?

woot awsomeness more feedback my idea was to buy experience because if you die 500 times in a row your exp hole would be insane. To be able to pay the same price as anyone else to get more exp would, i think, be unfair. Also i dont think you lvl at set experience points, i think you lvl when you have gained X amount ov experience, and if u die it adds to X, which i think is why a lvl 100 with 10 deaths has more exptnl than a lvl 100 with 0 deaths. if it is going to be too expensive, nobody will use it I will never buy a level for 50 mill to get from 200 to 201 50 mill takes a few days to get 500K experience is less then 10 minutes
So to make it usefull it has to be ALOT cheaper
i agree with that, but if your making 500k exp in 10 mins your prolly making over 500k gold at the same time. if your exptnl is over 10 mills, thats gonna take u.... 200 mins to lvl, but seeing as u make about 10 mills in the process... i dont know... (im sick and tryin to think... not workin too well) think of a noob... hes got like 500 exptnl... lets say it costs 5 gold per exp... he must pay 2.5k now think of somone like MB that has 10 mill exptnl... thats 50 mills to lvl... also remember my point is not to REPLACE lvling normally, rather to AID it. I dont want set prices for each lvl as thats unfair, i want buying exp. lets get more feedback

why dont we just make a really complicated formula like x=2x+32 x
and stick that in the many lines of quest code just to piss people off
now i reckon we should keep it simple like maybe the price starts at 20 gold per exp and goes up one every 5 lvls or something???
or maybe it starts when you are lvl 200 as has already been suggested and it is like 10-50 gp per exp then goes up one gp per 5 lvls??
but like maxes out at 80gp per exp??
