Most of the replys have said no to a wipe... im beginning to agree with them. Also no to losing items when you die. I also agree after hearing their side of things, so for now no wipe, no items loss when you die, but do read the stuff and see what you like and dislike.

Please hear me out, i got a lot of ideas reading your posts (sorry if i copied your stuff and forgot to give credit, MB/MR i stole some of your stuff), read the whole thing, make notes if u need to (yes its very long please read it all b4 u post)
There should be a wipe. but not just a wipe. A wipe is a short term fix. give it 3 months and there will be the same problem over again. No a wipe is not the answer
but wait, you say, you just said there should be one! Why yes, there should be a wipe. My you are observant. But not just a wipe. There should not just be a wipe, but a reconfiguration. a rebirth, if you will
I think everything needs a little boost. The battle system has been commented on needing help, better monsters, money drains other than clans, rares not being rare, and the list goes on. This is not a fast answer, i am actually taking time to reply on this please take me seriously.
rares - should be bought from players for a set price, and sold for outragous prices, like 100 mill+
this will do things - prices would be kept regulated. If you want a lvl 8 rare, its actually worth a set price. The shop may pay you a certian price, this would be your selling minamum, and the shop would sell for a set price, the selling maximum.
You should drop all items and gold when you die. Ultrarares would be able to be bought so you think that would make them common right? wrong. If you die, you lose the item. Make it dissapear after a time period, like 5 mins, that way you need to race back to the corpse to get your stuff back, otherwise its gone permenently. This causes things like rares to not be so common
Now if the shop can sell rares, that makes them common right? wrong. If a super rare costs 1000mill to buy, its gonna take a while to get that much gold.
now i had an idea about item damage with use, and some people, *cough gungrave, gungrave cough* were not all that hot about it. i still say it may have its place, i dont know, feedback helps work my genius

battle should be broken up into rounds. You pick your attack, the opponent picks their attack. The one with the highest dex and weapon with the best quickness uses their attack first. This makes items' "quickness" number worthwhile.
The monsters should have skills like players, make the battles play out like PvP battles. The monsters could hang out in different areas depending on their major stats. For instance, mages in one area, soldiers in another, pures, mixtures, etc. and depending on the lvl the wider variety they could be.
(This could be done by having a coordinate (1, 1) be pure mage, and coord (10, 1) be pure soldier, so if your at (5, 1) you would hit a mage soldier) ok bad example you know what i mean

there should be a limit to how many clans people can be in. You should be able to own a total of 3 clans at a time, and each new clan costs an ADDITIONAL 30 mill. So the first one is 30 mill, the 2nd is 60 mill, the 3rd is 90 mill. Now lets suppose you dont want a clan anymore or want to make a new one. You should be able to remove your clan. This opens a slot for you to make another clan, clan 4, costing 120 mill. See what i mean? clans cost less money at first but more later on. This makes clans be less numerous, solving the "clan" problem.
Banks should hold more items. Lets face it, 5 items is not enough. make it closer to 10 that should be better

. Most ppl were using clans for storage banks anyways, so this would eliminate another need for a lot of clans.
On the topic of clans, i think the top 10 clans should give bonus stats to their participants. If your clan is rated the best (fewest member deaths, most player kills) then that would give a bonus to the member's exp/gold gained. Example, clan xyz is rated #1, that clan gets 10% more exp/gold per battle. Clan #2 gets 9%, etc. Numbers need working, but you know what i mean.
also, you should only be able to be in 3 clans at a time. the better clans would be more exclusive, and it would be more of a "status symbol". You can make your own clan if you want, and if you get invited into a more "prestegious" clan you wont need to abandon your own clan, and it wont count against your "creation fee"
what else am i forgetting? Oh yess...
Cosmetics... As i said before, the whole map should be remodled. make it look newer, like a new age. The buildings around the maps should sell different items, such as differen items sold in different places. If More places were "open for business" then maybe item damage would actually be plausable. Now i hear the protests you dont want to walk all the way from mount noslin, well lets make a repair places more accessable
another problem is excessive lower lvl monster attacks. How many times have you been walking along and a lvl 1 attacks and your like aww man cuz you get very little exp? Well make the probability of monster attack be based on your current lvl. Example, monster lvl 125 (assuming new monster lvl layout), your lvl 236? ?((125)-(236))*0.5= -55.5 so if u have a 100% chance of battling, the lvl mod would reduce that chance by -55.5%. If the monster is lvl 300 it increases your chances of battle by 32%. See how it works? this would make walking through low lvl areas a lot easier and less annoying. Im espically proud of working this out

i think thats it... i may be adding to this but its lots for now. Please comment on everything after about a month of playing and chatting with some people in the game longer than i, i begin to see why there should be a re-format. Theres one key point tho - should all these changes be implemented on everyone by upgrading the current system and wipeing everyone's stuff, or make a seperate "New" version. I dont know, theres pros and cons both ways.

*edit* One thing i forgot was mage battles. Mages should not be left out of things like tournements. I think there should be a way to select a few attacks the mage wants to use before the tourney starts, and be able to select the spell to be used in the tournement. hotkeys may also work, for instance, hotkey the spell you want to use and click the person you want to use it on.
