Morning all

Are server-purchasing donations stilll required?

I was hoping for a marathon Quest session this weekend and - horror - the server is down.

teaxx cries

If the contributions go to an automatic reboot, then count me as a donator!

The poor server doesn't have the best uptime in the world.  It goes up, it goes down....like the tides.

Oh, and contributions have never been and never will be required.

At least, not on my watch.

If Jouser asked for donations Id lend him a few bucks Cheesy Id be cool to have a steady quest server ^_^ We'd all be about 100 levels higher then huh? (maybe Tongue)

Oh, you can contribute, of course, but by no means will it ever be required or give in-game benefits other than feeling good that you helped out.  There's a link on the main website if you're so inclined.  ^_^

*Backs Shiris wholeheartedly*

There are plenty of paid games out there. This isn't one. Contributions to the server fund are voluntary, appreciated, but far from required!

I never thought it was required for benefit. I ask the question because I believe in supporting ventures like this - it's called altruism.

I wanted to make sure that the link on the site was current and didn't disappear your contribution into some PayPal limbo.

Just out of interest - what happens when the server goes down, does someone  automatically contact whoever can reset the server?

Hm i think Jouser runs the Server. I think he was on when he rebooted today. Since there was nobody on but someone named Server talked to me. Smiley

All hail the mighty Server.

teaxx worships the Server.

Support the Server - for it needs more uptime
