Garvad, the Deteriorating World

I'm bored...time for a new thread?

Name: Garvad
Time: Medieval
Description: The world has been thrown into waste. Grass and large amounts of water are rare sights. Only a few towns remain, sitting on drying up lakes. Most of the world is desert. People make a living any way they can, but the population slowly deteriorates.

Restrictions: Umm...for this one, none. It probably won't last long as it is, and a restriction would cut that time down even more *shrugs*

[Kain Aerostrough]

The day was begining to fade. Kain Aerostrough relentlessly trecked through the desert. He didn't know where he was going, or why he was here. All he knew was that he had to survive. He had to keep moving.

A voice rang in his head, "How did we end up here? Do you even know where you're going?"

Kain shook his head, "I don't know..." The weight of the Ogun was begining to seem heavier and heavier with each step.

[Kittyana]

Kitten could see the sun begining to set. she crept out of her hiding place under a rock into the cooler air. she knew there was no way she could travel in that heat.. it was hot enough under the rock.
stretching her wings she took off. the air felt good as it rippled her fur. there had to be a town around shed been travelling for days. something moved on the ground taht caught her attention. it was a lizard. she adjusted her wings and dived on it pinning it to the ground she dug her teeth in
'yeuch' she thought. 'cant wait to have real food.'

[Delak]

Corvid walked along the streets of town hoping to find someone who could give him directions to the next town.  Wakling into the inn, he sat down at the bar. "Hey bartender, you know any way to get to the next town?"

"Sure," he replied, "but it means going through the desert."

He then detailed the route and showed some of the obstacles. "Thanks," replied Corvid as he put a coin on the bar and waked out.

Standing at the edge of town he peered out across the desert, Well, no use standing here looking at it. With that he checked his supplies and started out into the desert.

[Kain Aerostrough]

Kain dragged himself along. He couldn't take much more of it.

"Let me take over...

"Huh? Why?"

"My scales will add protection against the heat...and the change will restore our body's fatigue. The change back will probably knock you out, though."

"Still...it's a better plan than me trudging along..."

"...on the brink of death. That settles it. Open your mind..."

Suddenly, Kain stood straight up and closed his eyes. Then, his body began to change. Small patches of scales appeared over his exposed skin, and wings thrust from his back. His nails and teeth grew into fangs and claws...Gastoff, King of Dragons, makes his appearance.

[Zare]

Danto walks on with his wyvern close by, "Whoa, you think this desert will end?"  He looked over at his wyvern and smiled.  "Yea, your lucky your scales protect you from the heat.  Unlike me, this armor is about to kill me."  He stops for a minute, and takes off his armor, and pulls out some water to take a drink.

[Kittyana]

Kitten looked up she felt a surge of power. having finished the lizard she looked around and saw nothing. she took the air again and continued traveling looking around nervously. something else was out here... and it was powerful.
the sun vanished on the horizon. the heat was over. now for the freezing night. ruffling her fur she flew a bit faster.

[Delak]

Corvid continued his trek across the desert and noticed the sun disappearing over the horizon. Uh-oh...It'll be night soon and that means cold. He scanned the horizon for any signs of life and failed to notice anything. He continued on.

[Kain Aerostrough]

Gastoff stared up at the night sky, "Haha...cold temperatures don't affect me...it doesn't affect you either, Kain, because of the fire lung."

"Yes, but I am still too tired to retain conciousness after the transformation, so changing back isn't an option."

"I know this...huh? I feel something..." Gastoff searches the horizon for any sign of life.

[Kittyana]

Kitten fluttered she felt the cold trying to reach into her fur. she stood it on end a bit and tried to keep warm. the air bit at her nose.
where was th nearest town.
she was forced to fly closer to the ground to keep warm.

[Delak]

Corvid took a heavy cloak out of his pack and wrapped it around himself. I knew I'd need this one day, or night, as the case may be.  Something feels strange. It's as if there's something or someone out there. He checked his weapons just in case.

[Kain Aerostrough]

Gastoff stood completely still for a few minutes, "Where is it...there!" He pointed in some direction, for he did not know north, south, east, and west in this world.

"Don't be too hasty to jump in."

Gastoff ignores Kain's remark and hovers about a foot from the ground, "Haha! This is going to be fun!" He zips straight off into the direction where a man stood. Just as he was about 10 feet away, he takes farther off the ground and stops flapping. This brings him straight down, and he comes down on the man claws first.

[Delak]

Corvid heard the footsteps and wingbeats and looked up. What the... He ran to the left dodging and withdrew his swords. "Who are you and why are you attacking me?" he asked assuming a defesive stance.

[Kain Aerostrough]

Gastoff shrugged, "You're the only person I've seen in days. I need excitement. As to who I am, I am Gastoff, King of Dragons. And you are my next victom!" With that, he kicks off the ground and zips straight at Corvid.

[Delak]

"Heh....excitement, eh? You'll find I'm not easily killed." He crosses his swords in front of him as a shield. "You remind me of a friend of mine."

[Kain Aerostrough]

Gastoff's sharp claws clash against the swords, "Ha! Only a few have been able to stand against me! I'm looking forward to a little challenge!" He kicks off the swords and zips high into the air.

[Delak]

He quickly sheathes his swords and withdraws his bow.  "Try this on for size."  He threads an Arrow of Containment and fires it upwards at Gastoff.

[Kain Aerostrough]

Gastoff watches the arrow fly towards him, "Ha! It will break upon contact! I am made of thicker stuff than any arrowtip!" Unfortunately, when the arrow hit, Gastoff felt his body surge, "Wh-what the!?" All of the sudden, the arrow is sent flying back to the ground, and Gastoff started to convert back to Kain. Seconds later, Kain lands with a thump on the ground, unconcious.

[Delak]

Corvid walked up to the body lying on the ground, He can transform... interesting. He took out a potion and poured it down Kain's throat. That should bring him out of it.

[Kittyana]

Kitten shivered. the power vanished. she looked around alarmed.
what was going on? then suddenly on the horizon she saw a figure. fluttering her wigns she sped over a short way to look.
there was another on the floor.
things were getting interesting.
