New game: The Battle for Wesnoth

Any one ever played this game:  http://www.wesnoth.org/  ?   I just found out about it. It looks pretty cool.  Any opinions or comments?

I don't play games anymore because I haven't finished the last one in like 10 years; it's awful

Played it a few years ago, but it has been developed a lot since then.
It was one you had to concentrate, one bad move and you were in
a world of sh*t.
