You shouldn't mess with Linux because I had a cousin named Tomothy who started using Linux and Next thing you know he's hooked on speedball and living in an elaborate system of tunnels under New York City in a shanty town, but he also got elected mayor of the shanty town so I guess it wasn't all bad, but still you have to think that the bad outweighs the good on that one because real houses are beter than underground communes of garbage, and I think we can all learn something from Tomothy, Ruler of the Forgotten Rail Line. It's not often a red-blooded American can stand up and be proud in these days of drugs and murderous autistic children roaming in packs, and I'm pretty sure that communist operating systems will only lead you further from that grand dream. I was saying the same thing earlier today to a guy at the grocery store but then I saw a fat kid flopping around, playing the Guitar Hero arcade game, and he was really red and way too into it so everyone was laughing. I admired the kid, though. He reminded me of you when you were little except he was fat and playing a video game that didn't exist when you were little and he was from a different state. Also he wore mascara and you don't. Anyway, the point is that I DID indeed get by the grocery store today, so I got everything for the cookout. Should be a blast! I'll see you there, and don't forget to bring that chip bowl that the missus likes so much. She's already planning to fill it with Fritos or something. I'll text you in the morning if I can stop weeping openly in the morning light. I lament everything.

trying to figure out the activex 429 error >_> so far no luck....i cant seem to find any help on the forums here for linux any more so...yea

I ended up getting Quest to work on linux, with a bit of help advice on which components.  I had been missing wsh57 I think.  To get it to work I did the following.
Install: Q4Wine, WineTricks

WineTricks ->
Select the default wineprefix -> Install a Windows DLL or component:
mfc42
msvcirt
vcrun6
vcrun6sp6
wsh56vb
wsh57

I am not sure of all of these are necessary, but they are the ones I currently have installed.

To install quest I:
Right-click (on the install) -> Open with -> Q4Wine
Press Ok on the "Run Program" window that opens up.

Quest then goes through it's install process.

And voila, it works without having to copy any dlls or components.

Note:  For the first run I ran the quest client by Right-click-> Open with -> Q4Wine -> Ok
I'm unsure if this made any kind of difference, but I know that now I can just execute it, and it works, like a charm.
