Miasma Forest[Sinchar]

Wheeeeeeee! Time for a new area! 

Name: Miasma Forest
Time Period: See Sinchar, Black City
Location: South of Sinchar. The forest takes up the entire southernmost part of the Western Continent.
Description: Every year, a thick Miasma fog runs through the forest, killing most of the plant life and animals. The forest itself is dark and dreary, almost as if possesed by an evil entity. Most of the trees are just dead hunks of wood, the miasma had already gotten to them. The few trees still alive live by a thread, and only animals that can survive in the tops of trees remain. But is this all the seemingly evil forest holds? Perhaps there is something hidden there? Something secret...seperating itself from war and strife.

Choccy slowed Starshadow down and looked down at the forest.
"it doesnt look to nice :/"

[Hrothgar]

Hrothgar leaps out of the forest running tward Kitten yelling Its comming!

[Kain Aerostrough]

Dhite tries to figure out why hrothgar didn't get killed by the miasma, "Yeah, it can be nasty...but I know a way through." Dismounting his horse, he turns to some nearby brush, "Should be right about..." With a flash of his sword, the brush is cleared and a ladder appears in it's place, "There it is!" He grabs a rung of the ladder and starts pulling himself up, slashing shrubbery and vines away as he climbs, "This ladder leads to..." He hauls himself up on a wooden catwalk just about the miasma, "...the way through!"

He turned around and called down to the party from high up, "Hey guys! C'mon up, the catwalk should be fine!"

[Delak]

Delak dismounts his horse and approaches the ladder. He climbs up behind Dhite and pulls himself up on the catwalk.  "Interesting place."

[Kain Aerostrough]

Dhite helps Choccy up onto the catwalk, then turns around to Delak, "You have no idea...stay close." He began slowly down the catwalk, his eyes were ever watchful.

[Hrothgar]

Hrothgar follows at the tail end of the group looking suspicous

The catwalk continues with many twists and turns, sometimes with a tree going through it. Suddenly, Dhite took out a spare dagger and flung it through the miasma. There is a sharp cry of pain and a thump, "Damn...they've spotted us. We've gotta move!" Dhite starts a mad sprint across the catwalks. He's suddenly stopped short by a large gap where more catwalk should be, "What the..? They removed part of the catwalk?"Dhite took a few steps back, grabbed Zare and Choccy's arms, then flung them across the gap. Then, he did the same thing with the newcomer. He then turned to Delak, "C'mon, get me across already!"

[Kittyana]

Choccy yelled as she flew across the gap...
turning to dhite she yelled back... "i coulda jumped you know!!!"
she looked down into the miasma hoping the horses could find thier way safely home.

[Kain Aerostrough]

As Dhite waited for Delak to move, shadowed forms began to appear in the trees around them. Arrows began whizzing across the catwalk as the shadowed forms made fast movements.

"C'mon, Delak, let's get outta here!" Dhite yelled as an arrow clanked against the Enkidu's sheathe.

[Delak]

Delak grabbed Dhite and took off.  He cleared the gap and landed, setting down Dhite. They started running down the rest of the catwalk, "Any idea as to who's after us?"

[Kain Aerostrough]

Dhite ran ahead without looking back as he explained, "These guys are humans who, over time, have mutated from exposure to trace amounts of miasma. They're not normally this aggresive..." Dhite halted as an arrow flew by in front of him, then continued, "We have had problems with them though..."

[Hrothgar]

Hrothgar says a few words and sees a glowing light surrond the group stoping all the arrows that hit it, after ward he says WE should be safe now, as long as the spell dosn't were off....

[Kittyana]

Choccy ducked from flying arrows had never trusted magic.
she kept on running with everyone determined t get through it.

[Kain Aerostrough]

Dhite was ahead of the entire group. He was already used to being shot at as it was, so he decided to lead the way in front of the shield. Sometimes maneuvering away from arrows, he led down the catwalk until it came to a four way path. Stopping for a second, he needed to figure out which one it was, "Let's see...I hope they didn't change this..." Dhite approached a small puzzleboard, "Just as I remember it." He began placing pieces into the slots as the arrows zipped by him.

[Kittyana]

"what the?!" Choccy came up beside dhite... "you people are crazy... puzzles?!"

[Kain Aerostrough]

Dhite nodded as he skillfuly pieced the puzzle together, "See, this four way is an illusion. Take a wrong step, and you'll be tumbling into the miasma...it's a defensive mechanism." An arrow bounced off the puzzle, "Of course, only people who know the puzzle can make it through..."

[Kittyana]

"i guess thats a good planbut... still..  never get any visitors will you"
Choccy jumped to dodge a arrow that zoomed past her leg.

[Kain Aerostrough]

"Let's just say my people are a bit overprotective..." He slides the last piece into it's place, "Done!" Suddenly, two of the passages disappear, and only one remains to the left. Dhite starts rushing off in that direction.

choccy ran off after him...
"i hate running for my life... but i seem to do it a lot more since i met you..."
