Tryne, The Land of Lost Dreams

I am going to do something very bold here. I am going to attempt something that I've never seen before. I think that it has potential to be fun, but I need your help. I have a basic plan for a story. But I want you guys, girls, (and kittens) to bring it up a notch by roleplaying to your hears' content. (In other words, you are free to carry the story however you please as in most rp threads, but I will know what is supposed to happen. I want to see how well this can be carried through. I want to be very flexible, so have as much fun as you want!)

Time Period: Unknown--this is part of the mystery of this sacred place. The most known about its point of existence is that it is not of the same plane as the world we know.

Description: The entrance to this plane is unknown, as most who manage to make it here do not remember anything when they retreat it. It is a land of mystery and distortion, which to each individual is variable in appearance. Many who find themselves here are dreamiing, and as they wake they have no recollection of ever seeing it. Normally, the minds of people reach this plane in effort to indulge in their greatest desires. Those who dream in this way pass through this land, coining it the name of the Land of Lost Dreams. (You can begin anywhere you want! Spice it up a bit if you want! But at some point, the story must be carried through the Hall of Memoir, at which point...well...you'll see..)

Story Background: (This is how it is going to work. As I have said, normally this plane is a distortion through which beings regularly pass without even realizing it. But for those of you who involve themselves in this story, you have managed to arrive here for a much greater purpose. For great things become known to you here. You have been chosen.)

Now, as I have said, this is a bold thing to try on my part, but I think we can make it work. Let's give it a shot.

My Character--

(I will not be playing through this as Aeric, seeing as how it may be difficult to be in two places at once, and it is also not feasable to use him to carry the character I want here.)

Name: Kyden

Just so everyone doesn't get confused with what I am trying to say in this, Kyden is my character's name.

(Since this is not the character I normally use, I won't post his description on Cobalt's thread Tongue)

And if you have anymore questions, send me a message, and I'll respond as quickly as I can.

(I guess I'll have to start this thing. Here goes nothing)

Though the mist obscured the mystic terrain, the forest was undeniably at its peak in beauty. The sun leaked through weak points in the thickened air, forming sharp streaks of brilliant light that illuminated small sections of the forest floor. All was calm and in its place.

Kyden stood leaning up against a nearby trunk, which was inescapably old in age, but inevitably young in beauty. It had many more prosperous years to undergo. Kyden leaned on it, seemingly ignorant of its essence. His eyes closed, and his face purposeful, Kyden waited for the first one to arrive...

In her sleep Kitten dreamed of flying... she slowly opened her eyes stirring and screamed. the ground got closer... with a huge splash she landed in the river below...
re-emerging Kitten breathed in the cold air. getting her footing she looked up at her sleeping place... but the branches of the tree was different. the branches weren't as secure as she rememebered, then again nothing around her looked the same... there was no river beneth her before she could have sworn it...

clambering out of the water shook herself and sent water flying... looking around she took in her surroundings.. she looked on the edge of a forest, on one side was trees and the other was huge plains. in the distanst she could she animals but couldn't make out what they looked like in detail...
everything looked so different... it was so clean and fresh the river was bright and clear. everything was so clean and bight and fresh.

it scared Kitten she wanted to go home...

Kyden felt the presence of the first one nearby. He did not make haste to find her, for he knew that she would come in due time. He finally released a smile, however, that was embraced by the surrounding calamity, as the birds flew up out of sight. It was almost time to begin...

Kitten lay in the sun untill her feathers dried out, then she spread her wigs and took to the sky to get a better look at her surroundings.

(Italicized will mean the world's view Tongue)

The land noticed Kitten fly high into the sky. The wind harmoniously shifted with her wings, and embraced her being there. The breeze was calmed by her presence, and not for the first time felt at home.

Kyden stood unmoving against his tree.

"Kitten, you are so close, yet so far away. Physically you are near. Yet, mentally you are safe in your bed. Ironic it is, that you should think yourself dreaming..."

Kyden held his position still, though flinching a little, knowing all too well the taunting voice of the wood.

Meanwhile, a sparkling entity flew across the blue sky, glistening against the bluntness of its features.

Kyden broke his straightlaced methods instantly. Such a faint little cry for help, the whimper much like that of a new innocent..
Kyden simply could not bare it. Though he knew that she was to come to him, he felt that she had already done so by capturing him so.

As the cry choed into his ears, Kyden lost his smile, and his eyes opened wide. Shocked and enfuriated, Kyden flew. He was too her in seconds. Picking her up before she could realize what was going on, Kyden flew on. He found his destination at a waterfall amidst some broken timber, in an alcove of the thicker part of the wood. There he lay her down softly on solid ground beneath a cliff of a rock.

The birds, the wind, the sun, missed it all as if in a blink of an eye.

Kitten schreeched as suddenlyform no where someone picked her up and whisked her away.
when she was able to break free she was in a completely different area.
she paniced and looked at the person who had taken her... she backed away slightly and crouched down terrified.
so there was someone else here. was he vicious? why'd h take her away? what was going on? did he want to eat her?

The sudden movement of Kitten scared Kyden. Under normal circumstances he was not to show such emotions, but in light of the cowering sight before him, he was beginning to panic. He gasped in horror at the sight, and began to cry, though without much sound.

Slowly, not knowing what else to do, he reached his hand toward her cautiously, gently whispering, "You are crying. You were crying. Up there. What pains you so?"

"Please don't be so gittery," started Kyden immediately, "for I am not going to hurt you. As to where you are..."

Kyden seemed to have trouble with getting this part out...

"...Let's just say that you're somewhere safe. Of that I am most certain." In a much more confident voice, and having stopped shaking a little, he said, "Please, take my hand. You must first trust yourself to make the right decision, before you can be given the right answers."

"Oh, forgive me," Kyden said. "I did not mean to...it's just..." Kyden noticed her confused expression. "Nevermind. Are you okay now? Are you better?"

Zare wakes up to the sun shining in his face, and a cool breeze blowing, making him a little cold.  As he wakes up, he realizes he is in a tree.  "What the?  Great, just what I need.  Another place that will end up driving me insain."

(No fair Zare, I was going to put something like that, lol.)
Nel gets to her feet, and stretches.  "Ooohh, now, what to do..... Wait, where am I?  This doesn't look like where I fell asleep at."  Nel takes out her huge sword, just in case of hostile creatures, and wanders around.

Though his eyes remain on Kitten steadily, Kyden seems perturbed by something. His eyes slowly close into slits, and for a second he looks like a vile monster. But in the moment, it is gone. The breeze picks up.

Kyden knows that something is wrong, that others have already arrived. With things not going as he had been told would happen, has he really changed the tides of fate so much from such a small twist?

Kyden dwells in his thoughts:
I can't have made such a mistake so as to alter a course of such magnitude. Why, oh why do I have to care so much about these...No, Kyden, that is not you at all. I must think quickly.
