Attract more people back?

Hey all, you probably do not remember me at all, i used to play this about...hmm... cant remember maybe about 5- 12 months ago? then i quit. Yeah well anyway, it seems it is more dead then ever before. usally when the game has a wipe, people rush on to the game and start playing again, like that last wipe where like 10-30 people were always on. i know you only wipe the game when a MAJOR change has happened, but maybe another wipe might solve this 'dead' game problem. being level 100 and something really isnt fun when there is no one ever online haha.

anyway its just a suggestion, so dont be all my face with "OMG THEY ONLY WIPE IF MAJOR CHANGE YOU IDIOT I HATE YOU." like the same time i asked the question a long time ago. haha. anyway maybe im on at the wrong times? i dont know.

Synyster, you probably don't know me... I was around a while before you even joined. The wipes were only performed because of huge changes to stats that would mess up the existing accounts, what you are really asking for is content.

Possibly the closest thing you could get to a complete wipe is organising a leveling contest within Quest, I suggest doing this, as one of the biggest reasons that people level on Quest is competition.

Yeah i know that, its just the game used to be full of people when i used to play. Then people started leaving, then i ended up leaving. hmm... and wipes would solve that lol...

leveling contest you say? hmm.... sounds good. but only problem is being in uni, i have lots of work and hardly any time for games. but i make time anyway ^_^ lol. it would be good though, it would give me, and alot of people a reason to stat playing this again... hmmm...

There is no pointing in wiping just for the sake of wiping. Whatever problems the game has will still be there and after a short amount of time things would be just like they are now. The game has always gone through lulls, right now its one of those dead times.

Wipe, put a level cap, then raise the cap every now and then
That doesn't annoy people starting over again, and attracts people back when there's a new goal

Well, not sure about others and I am fairly sure I have suggested this before.  I would come back if there was a "retro" or "easy button" version of the game.  Release a previous version of the game say back when STR DEX INT and DEF was all that mattered, when it was just purely a button smasher.  I enjoyed being able to mindlessly play this game between people coming on that i knew to talk to.  Not sure how hard it would be but with the low amount of resources the game takes would imagine wouldn't be hard.  Hardest thing I would imagine would be linking up chat between the new and older version of the game.

As it stand now only reason I even come to the forums for the most part anymore is to see if any drama is going on in appeal/grievances.

Same here sora i was on the other day and i think its good quest has had so many changes but i enjoyed the last version with supers alot better i felt so good finding a super and at the same time you could talk with friends it was great. its like today i love cod mw2 but i wouldnt trade it for mario back in the day.

I like playing the new version but if you can get an old client up and running, it will be awesome to have both available, sometimes I do miss the mindless aspect of the old quest.

Would be nice to have to sets of the client, one new and one old. But still have the same chat for both so you can talk to both Modern Quest players and Classic Quest players.

YES. YES. In the name of all that is holy, YES. Not to say the progress you've made isn't good, I just think it should be separate from 'Quest Classic'. The two version suit very different tastes.

I hope we roll back far enough to see Elves, Wiban, and Galin retain their usefulness with the +5 MP/Level, but also to add other buffs to other races?

I'm going to make a post in the Suggestion forum for Quest Classic.
