Weapon skills are capped at 500 skills points. When you get to 500 and click on the info for your attack, it says
Per Skill Point:
+100% damage. (+100% --> 15053)
+2 Damage. (1000)
(This attack cannot get any stronger! At level 500, weapon attacks have maximum % Damage!)

Now someone accidentally went over the 500 cap and went to 501 skill and noticed that their % damage changed. I decided to test it out and respec to 750 wep skill. Prior to respec my wep skill at 500 was

Slash

required slash: 1
Cannot Target Self
recovery time: 3sec.
Damage: 27994 to 34216
Weapon-based Attack
base miss %: 5

After the respec-

Slash

required slash: 1
Cannot Target Self
recovery time: 3sec.
Damage: 28444 to 34766
Weapon-based Attack
base miss %: 5

Per Skill Point:
+150% damage. (+100% --> 15053)
+2 Damage. (1500)
(This attack cannot get any stronger! At level 500, weapon attacks have maximum % Damage!)

It seems that the wep skill is indeed capped % wise, even though it continues to show an increased percentage. The + 2 damage per level however does not seem to be capped. With 250 more points I now have 500 more then I did before the change. I was thinking since weapons are supposed to be capped at 500 anyways, that once we get to 500 weapon skill you are not allowed to add any more. This would eliminate any accidental wasting of points in a skill and any confusion

And the noob who went over 500 skill was me.
just claiming the fail award, tyvm.   >.>

...but yes, shouldn't be too hard to make it the same as if you were to try to raise a skill higher than your own level.
