I know the population of the game was always small but I remember playing back in...2005 I think? And there was at least like 10-15 players nearly all the time. I've only been playing my new toon for a week or so and have only seen like 5 people on max, with 2 or so being afk. Anything I can do to revive this old game? It's not fun grinding with absolutely 0 competition.

People have always asked this. The game has always been this way. Sometimes a little more activity, sometimes a little less. It's had worse lulls than this for sure, though. It's not dead.

We just released 5.18 and have more plans we're working on!
Honestly, it's been extremely difficult to dedicate time to Quest as both Dlorak and I are now out of school and holding full time jobs. There was a lot more activity when we were students and had more time on our hands. Also, there isn't a monetary incentive which isn't everything however --- enjoyment of programming something you choose; hunting down bugs believe it or not; seeing people enjoy our work.
