Ok, well whenever I minimize quest, bring up a window, minimize that window, and then bring up another or the same one, then quest disappears into the background. Gotta task manager it.

Did it twice, both did the same thing.

Yes, this is the oh so familiar "grey-box" effect. happens to me only when I minimize mozilla, but if I have quest open it has to be task managed. End the process and relog is the current resolution.
