Hello, I uninstalled my last versión of quest (really old one), downloaded the new full installation package and installed. Everything seemed normal (except for a window saying the Backpack was overhauled or something...). I created my char, wrote the login info and when it said "wait, logging" a Windows Installer screen appeared loading, just to be followed by a "Quest has found an error and must close" screen... Tried few times, unistalled/re-installed, and nothing, any clues about this?

Thanks

Corre.

Seems to be happening to a lot of people...

Happens to me as well, but only one one of my computers. (The one running XP Shocked)

I was dealing with it for a long time. It asks for my Windows Resource CD, but crashes regardless of whether I have it in my CD tray or not, though recently it crashes before it even asks for the CD.

Hmmm, could be a broken installation... Does the installer that pops up say it is installing Quest? I would try to run mscleaner, the microsoft cleanup utility, try removing quest with that and reinstalling? If another program is popping up for the installer, you may need to remove that software with the cleaner.

No, it's not installing Quest.

And it's not other software. It's Microsoft trying to install resources to run Quest, if I had to guess.
