How about we get a new skill type, a skill you can buy pts in say once every 10 levels 1 pt for each level, they cost gold to take training in from a training master.
Skills that will provide unique improvements. Like first aid, that can improve your ability to heal with both magic and pots, metal crafting that improve jeweling %s, exploring that improve drop %s, trading that get you better deals at the store, when you buy or sell. I think these as personal skills would be a better customization than just trading pts from one stat to another.

yeah, good ones...

I especially like the drop % increase.. you give up combat skill in exchange for a small gain in drop chances...

About healing better with magic and pots.. We have built in limits to healing to make bosses and pvping sane (so you can't "heal-through" and end up healing way faster than the other person can ever deal damage). The healing gain, therefore, would ahve to be smaller, and balanced accordingly... Now if there was a skill for more efficent use of healing materials that'd be another skill alltogether.

I don't think it requires its own skill-type to do these... Perhaps if we get a ton of skills going really well that 3rd skill point will have to materialize... But my preference is giving +skill points for +INT, say +1SP for +4INT. Giving 3INT mages +3 SP/level, and +0INT fighters +2.25 SP/level.

i like this idea since mages generally need more skill points anyway. i guess this means the 2int mages would get 2.75 sp/level.
