The new extreme costs of healing, regardless of planned reason, have had a really detrimental effect.
The effect I speak of is the added meditation time. Meditation was to most the little extra cost you paid
to be a mage and have both decent damage potential and the healing ability. Now the disadvantages outweigh the advantages as it has literally doubled the leveling time with waiting every few fights to
meditate and this is directly a result of the added mp costs of healing. WKs parting remarks as he left
early in the evening were, leveling is taking twice as long, this is boring and then left. My feelings are
the same. Fighters do not need action points to fight so there already is imbalance, now
there is no comparison. Fighters have fun and fight, Mages fight and wait, fight and wait. Not a good
solution to whatever problem you were trying to solve. My 0.2 -

I second this. Even at low levels, healing drains your MP reserves.

warriors don't have to meditate because we use potions to heal the mp we use to heal with holy. Using holy to heal, and therefore seriously diminishing any other defensive or offensive skill you were originally planning on adding to if you keep your weapon skill at your level, is by far the most efficient way to level. So, forgive me if I am ill informed as I have never liked mages or played one very far(Let alone in any of the past 2 - 4 versions), but this is MY 0.2-

EDIT: Fixes this edit -

What about having the length of time it takes to meditate be directly tied to the amount if INT you have.  After all INT is what is needed to perform Magick in the first place, so have the meditate speed be based on the INT.  It can be based of a formula that is tied to the Base INT / lvl.  So that having a lot of INT items don't give you an unfair advantage.

As long as we are on the subject of the MP, what about having the INT also be tied to the MP at lvl up, like the DEF is to the HP?  So the more you add to the INT at lvl up, the more MP you get, instead of the 10 points no matter what.

DOH... good one.
+MP per point of INT is a no brainer!

healing efficiency improved next version...
also, there was a bug with healing making it under-heal (right?) All fixed up.
