hmm lets see here focus has to do with the chance of landing a normal hit and critical hit the more focus you have the better the chance of critical. also on top of that focus control the speed or the quantity of mp meditation restores. it doesn't really seem needed to give it any bonuses as you put it
 lets compare here

                                 1) defense=  4hp per defensive point
2)def governs dodge rate % (not sure of the formula)

focus=   1) seems it controls the normal hit %
                                              2) controls critical hit %
                                              3) controls the speed mp is regained during
                                                  meditation or the quantity

not sure of the formula for focus for critical hit
or for normal hit but i would like the formula that
would make it much easier to figure out what i should
spend points on and how much
(note: i have found out the hard way that focus governs normal hit rate)

i was spending 3 in str 2 def sounded good when i heard from many people that focus is useless
so they said atleast until i had alright reached a higher level and couldn't hit a mob without missing 3-8 times in a row.......

people don't let anyone bs you and say focus doesn't do anything because thats bs

anyway back on topic, i think its kind of pointless to give focus any "bonuses" since it already governs the 3 at the top i listed.  i mean really everything is already covered what else could it govern that another stat isn't already

strenght governs ttl power (weapon % definately increase the ttl power)
intelligence governs damage and healing power of spells also mp
focus governs hit rate and critical hit rate along with meditation speed/quantity
defense governs hitpoints the formula is above and dodge rate%

there is nothing possible that focus could cover that some other stat doesn't already
except maybe getting 2x or higher attacks in a row but its not dex so......

i just think adding something is pointless since everything is cover and on top of it, if focus covers anything else people could pretty much end up gods.... this would be a very boring game in my opinion if that were to happen alot of people enjoy a challenge.  really what else focus cover it may seem like i am repeating myself i probably am. but, what do you want a bonus to str for focus?  than there would be no point in str or get a bonus for intelligence defeats the purpose of having int.... you see where i am trying to go with this.

not trying to be a prick or anything just trying to open your eyes a little
nt much more to say if i go on it will just become rambling there is nothing left
to talk about well, i don't have anything else to say..
