Are you supposed to be able to flee during a duel with another player? In previous version you could request a draw and if both parties agreed the fight would end.

I like the idea of fleeing in duels...it solves the problem of having one person who wants to quit and someone else who doesn't. No arguments that way.

It also defeats the purpose of dueling/a pvp list. Nobody ever loses, they just flee if they think they are going to lose. It was nice when if you felt you were going to lose you could offer a draw to your opponent and if he wanted to grant mercy he could.

I agree. There is almost no point to a purely defensive build now because in the past strong hp/def builds were a way to own duels and str builds were for PK. Not that it has to be THAT cut and dried to make sense, but if you can flee from what is called a "duel" there should either be no duel list or there should be a shame list of how many times you've fled from what is definitively denoted as a "duel" kind of like the death list.

Frankly, I don't believe the current system used makes any sense at all. How many times are you going to ask the fellow beating you up if you can leave? I sure as hell would be running, not talking.

All in all, I agree with the running from duels aspect, but I also agree with Zero's Shame List, as you might call it.

A shame list would work I think.
