(I've had a little experience in writing and roleplay. So, I figured I would try to get something started here. The following is the description of Sinchar, a city wraught with pollution and cursed by perpetual night.)

? ?The cold, black streets give way to a myriad of people from different cultures. There are the Sincharians, cursed with being born in a cursed town without money to leave with. Then, we have the Ishnalians, born in a beautiful town of fame and riches but cast out into the cold world because of horrible crimes. Although there are smaller groups of people within the town, these two are its primary population. There are many shops and pubs lining the streets, drawn to the big city with hopes of striking rich. Crime is at an all time high as bandits mug the innocent and assassins "deal with" group leaders. The Sinchar Mansion rests high upon a hill, devoid of pollution but polluted with its vile King. The mansion's perimeter wall is lined with guards armed to the teeth with spears, bows, and swords.

Period of Time: This is a cross between modern technology and medieval weaponry and fighting styles. Things like TVs and phones exist, but other things like the internet and cable do not. The TVs are used for public announcements and exist through various sections of the city on important buildings. Street lights exist, but aren't well kept and few actually work. Cars do not exist, and few horses travel in the streets.

Ok, that's about it. I won't be posting for a few hours(it's bedtime here) so...hope somebody makes SOME use of this.

Meh.

I knew it was a lost cause when I started it, but I haven't got anything better to do so...Yeah.

BTW, the only reason I really used this time and age was:

1) How would a city get polluted in medieval time?
2) I've played a lot of rpgs that use this setting and turn out really darn good, so I figured why not in a RP?

The lonely thief, Zare, goes around town trying to seek out someone with something of value.  Zare has never been caught in the act, so no one ever expects him of stealing.  He finally finds a beautiful girl, which to him looks very rich.  He walks along and snatches her necklace, so fast that she didn't even notice, but thought he almost lost his balance.

An elderly, yet very much alive, elf awakens lying in a dark damp alley.  He checks himself for injury and takes in his surroundings.  He peers down the alley and faintly notices a young thief in action.  However, he sits in apathy as he collects himself and ponders his whereabouts.  "Nothing like Llirrem..." he murmurs.

The young elf catches a glimpse of the theif's action, but doesn't seem to care as this behavior is normal in Sinchar. He steps down the street towards the mansion at the other end of town.

"Ah, another sucessful job done," Zare said, going into the pawn shop, which the owner is a very good friend.  Zare sells the necklace, then moves on to his second job.  Not only is he a theif, but one of the best assasins too.  "So, who's the target today?"

She knew the dark city was considered cursed by many, but to her..darkness wasn't a curse at all. With her lavander eyes, the sunlight was too much. She could put up with a few thieves and muggers who always underestimated her skills, if it meant existing quietly in the dark.
The young elven girl wandered the streets quickly, sticking to the more abandoned ones, taking in far more than she'd let show. As she crosses a street, she glimpse down an alley and thinks 'hmm, that old elf. I've seen him, somewhere' racking her faulty memory, still frustrated at her inability to know how she came to be here, she tried to place the familiar face, but didnt' stop moving.

Dhite approaches the mansion perimeter wall. "Too easy..." he says as he flings himself upward and over the wall. "Hmmm...I thought they'd be expecting me..." Dhite moves across the courtyard to the main entrance, both of his blades already drawn. As he steps through the doors, he stumbles upon a large war mech. "Mmm...I'll just back out now" After taking a few steps back out of the door, he sprints for the wall.

a feline woman watches the city from above the roof tops. watching people walk about seing the ill deeds taken in the dark city.

she thinks "thiefs coming thiefs going. always doing thier buisness... never having a goal. oh well its a life i guess."
with a flick of a tail and swish of her cloak she vanishes into the dark to go about her buisness and make a living. the customers expected thier goods by dawn and she couldn't do her job sitting on a rooftop.
vanishing into the streets she found her target...

The war mech bursts through the doors, knocking parts of the building off as well. Dhite doesn't look back and continues his mad dash for the wall, knowing death looms behind him. The mech runs on tracked wheels, its large, metalic body holding a gigantic sword. The mech raises the sword as Dhite draws nearer.

Zare reaches the masion, just as Dhite is leaving, and the war mech burts through.  "NOOOO," Zare screams and runs to the rescue.  "You can't kill him, thats my job."

Dhite's elven hearing picks up Zare's comment, but ignores it for the time being. He tears his way through numerous streets as he flees the War Mech's sword. The War Mech finally draws close enough and brings down it's sword. Dhite reacts by leaping to the side and continuing down the street. The war mech's sword rips through the concrete and momentarily stops the mech itself.

With Zare's talent in being a thief, he was able to steal some parts off the war mech.  "Hmmm, I think it really needs these more than me, hahaha."
As Zare laughs the war mech slows down and finaly stops.  Zare then returns to the shadows, as to not draw any more attention to himself.

Dhite stops and pants as he stares back at the warmech. "I could go after that assassin, but I think I'll let him go for now..." He looks around and realizes people are staring. "Uuhhh...bye!" Dhite says as he zips off down an alleyway just as Sinchar soldiers appear.

Dhite runs through a myriad of alleyways until he reaches an old home. He enters and sits down on a chair in front of a television. Flipping the channels until he hits a news one, Dhite watches intently for any information he could use. "Ah...looks like the King is trying to cover again..."
