Im not really liking the new skill points atm, previous to this version it was easy enough to do things like collect sprites (which was always a bit of a goal in the game), get a decent mining level or spread points over several skills to balance out your character to suit several jobs. But now, with the new skill points, getting level 1 is as 'expensive' as level 1000. So now, if i wanted good healing skills, decent mining level and a suitable attacking/magic levels i must sacrifice hard earned skill points to it, which can cripple my new personal skills.

I used to be able to save up for a few hours and put enough points in mining to make it useful, but now you have to level 100 times to gain enough skill points. And ofcourse as your level increases, it becomes almost exponentially difficult to get those skills.

I like the new system over the old one. You seem to not like it because you can't max a skill out in a few hours now? Isn't that a good thing? You can have every skill in the game, but you are going to have to WORK for it. Smiley

I think he might be refering to the fact that you can't skill above your own level. Technically that was possible in the old system because deaths penalised level exp and not skill exp. I have quite a lot of deaths under my belt now and before last patch I had my main magic skill substantially higher than my own level.
