I just replied to a topic in the tavern, and thought i'd copy it here... as it is kinda a suggestion.

why not just have a scheduled reboot of the server every day at a specific time... it only seems to take about 2-5 mins for a reboot when it is done.

If the server is a Linux(or based) server then this is as simple as setting a cron to run.

if its a windows based server set a scheduled task.

The server could issue a warning at all players about it in game... " The server will be performing a scheduled reboot in 30 mins..." then a 15, 10 and 5 minute warning then like the PK tourney timer... 30sec 20secs 10secs 9.. 8.. 7.. 6.. 5.. 4.. 3.. 2.. 1.. REBOOT.

Then we would all know that if the server goes down it will be for a maximun of 24hrs.

yeah that'd be nice... I'm gonna focus on the game instead, though... the bugs crashing the server will go away and we'll all forget abou this unplesantness.

Wouldn't it be pretty easy to just set your computer to reboot twice a day and auto load quest, at least for now until the bugs are fixed?

Yeah, just put the server startup into your startup folder and it will launch on PC reboot.
