Fix mob crits. Fix mob crits. Fix mob crits.

Change the balrog(7) sprite so that it doesn't cover over half of the mob's hp bar.

Make colored box square of giantness between the player and mob the same color as the background so it's less obnoxious. I've even heard different people saying theirs was different colors.

Your dmg and how often you're attack is dodged is impossible to notice if you focus at all on the box of giantness. I don't care if I get hit for 1 twenty thousand times, anyone who builds their character correctly for this version does. I want to know how often I'm being dodged.

Tell us if mining is broken or if the suggestion of tile stacking has been implemented.

Tell us of any other changes that we are yet unaware of so we can make sure that whatever it is, it's not doing critical hits.

EDIT: no one knows how much dmg they're doing because of the box of giantness
more reason to add the blue text to where the red text is

Not to mention, it seems that players are not doing nearly enough dmg even when they crit. spells or melee.

This is ridiculous, mobs are buffed to hell. Did you give them equipment or something?

I agree with the mob crits, its already hard enough to lvl and you have pushed people back a couple hundred lvls or so in where they can now lvl. I do like the mining and hopefully that was intended and stays. I dont like the removal of the drop down menu where you could click attack or for using spells, but that just might be me.

The box of square giantness as zero called it seems more annoying then anything else, though maybe you guys have some future use for it thats important so i cant really knock it yet. However if its sole purpose is to annoy me, then yes, get rid of it.

Also, id like to suggest you bring back showing how much damage a player is doing to a mob. As it is now it just says "Critical Hit! You Attack Your Enemy!" without saying how much damage im doing.

Also, since the main purpose of this update and the only thing we were notified about was skills being fixed..

The characters that existed before the last update worked great after it, as well... and we see where that went - to THIS update. I remade my character Zero for this version. He's a human. He didn't even have to open the holy skill, yet it will not go up. I've fought with Holy Shot 1 on the strongest mobs he can handle with magic, as he is a warrior, and nothing.

okay, two config options next version:
DsiplayMyAttacks (true/false)
DisplayMonsterAttacks(true/false)
I'll default them to true and true.

It appears to work. Try again.

Nah, no changes there. Please elaborate though, if there is an issue there I want to know about it.
[Actually, there is changes, level 1 mobs have 50%weapons, level2 mobs have 75% weapons and all other levels (3-9) have 100% weapons.]

Apparently it's only with crits... there is too much text, how much you critted for is hidden

and since most people have raised their wep skill to crit almost 100% of the time, you never see how much damage you do

here is my list of things i find really annoying about 5.4  (why are people calling it 5.0.4 here when its called 5.4 on the site?) anyway, im sure this list will mention things already brought up, but it never hurts to mention annoying things more than once, as SamAdams has demonstrated several times, lol.

1. the box listing damage in the middle is an ugly barf color (at least for me and i assume everyone else) it would be good if there was at least some way to change that color or even just make the box white or black.

2. i cant see the damage i do anywhere, only the monster damage. i see that it says i did my attack in blue, but no mention of how much damage it did.  if ur going to continually list all the monster damages in that barf colored box, why not list the player damage in there too so that it alternates player and monster damage?  spell criticals is listed as being fixed for this version, but how would we know if it was or not if we cant see how much damage we are doing?

3. whose bright idea  was it to make monsters get criticals anyway (read that as lets find the idiot and give them a good beating) ? it was bad enough that it takes u alot more lvls than it used to to get to the higher maps (in some cases a few hundred lvls more), now everyone has to fight monsters even weaker than they were used to in 5.3 so that a random critical doesnt kill them.  if ur going to have random criticals in there, u might as well make the penalty for dying almost disappear too, since random deaths will go up because of random monster criticals.

4. i dont like the fact that the action box in battle disappeared, making it so u now have no choice but to have every command u might use in a battle as a command in ur quickbar.  i used to leave some things off only because i could still choose them if i needed to, and since u cant change ur quickbar in battle, i'll probably have to move things around on my bar to include those things. its annoying but probably the least annoying of the 4 things i have listed here.

i only played 5.4 for like 10 minutes, but thats what ive come up with so far.  maybe i'll add more if i find other annoying things later.

edit: 

5. it says there are items that u can hold that prevent monster encounters, but i dont see them in the store at all, so does that mean they are rares? bolas u can buy in the store for like 50 gold,  but i dont see any new items sold in the store.

6.  Ive tried about 10 different spells so far, and no matter what spell i use it never tells me what damage i did to the monster, critical or not. (i finally got 1 spell to get a critical though, said critical 2x at the beginning of the spell's attack description) . im a mage so my attack power sucks, so i dont know if a normal attack would show the damage, but im sure it doesnt show spell damage.

7. a bunch of the monster pictures cover up the monster health bars so that u only see the bottom of the bar, how can u tell how much hp a monster has left if u cant see the hp bar?

the crit damage display problem is fixed...

the monster damage is fixed.

the f2 options for text display are added..
