So this is Cecil, just what to see what everyones thoughts were on the whole apocalypse coming up (supposedly).  I personally think it is just something to scare people...Y2K...maybe they think it will be the next world war?  Or, worst case scenario, we could all just possibly die and through the years evolve all over again. I dont completely believe in evolution but i dont rule it out. Post your thoughts Smiley.

The Mayan calendar is very similar to the odometer on a car, so all that happens in 2012 is the "1" at the very beginning of it becomes a "2" when all the other numbers roll over.

Rydia you need to read more books.  42 is indeed the meaning of life.

Cecil posted this not ME. Even says Cecil at the bottom.
I could care less about this stuff.
So Rydia does not need to read anything. Tongue

You call this an apocalypse? When I was young we had REAL APOCALYPSIES...SES...plural. With HORSEMEN and SCREAMING and RAINING FIRE and all that. Not these pansy apocalypses you get now 'ohno my computer clock can't count to 2000 we're doomed!'. You kids wouldn't know an apocalypse if it dinged you in the head.

In all seriousness though, the mayan calendar doesn't expire, it revolves. Which is probably what the mayans themselves are doing right now in their graves.

I'm just throwing John Titor out there.  I rarely make decisions or have opinions.  I refuse to let anyone hold me accountable to any past decision, opinion, belief, thought, or remark.  Hrmm, maybe this is why I got turned down at the last 2 job interviews...

But you must admit the Titor thing is very interesting regarding:
1) The microprocessor  and he knew it possessed a rare function
2) All of the schematics he posted do have a scientific basis
