*RESOLVED* Found a non rare in Rothar

I was walking through Rothar and somehow found a non rare item, it was by far the most disappointing and confusing blue box i have ever received.

you can find nonrares anywhere (even outside the dungeon) according to what shiri said awhile ago.... they're just fairly uncommon...

this being said it brings the question:

Whats the chances of finding items? Jouser could you supply a list of drop rates for each item level (and alternate rates for in the llirrem dungeon)

about the only one i remember offhand is supers (last i was told) dropped at 1:110,000

something like:

3's - 1:500
4's - 1:1000
5's - 1:1500
6's - 1:2500
7's - 1:4000
8's - 1:6000

only 3's and 8's I know for sure

Thats not a bad idea, if you are out there Jouser/Dloark, could you tell me what the odds actually are for finding a nonrare outside the dungeon?

Heh, second should imply that the odds are pretty good of finding them. After all, the random number generator hates you and you're finding them.

rares drops:
level3: 1/600
level4: 1/1000
level5: 1/1400
level6: 1/1800
level7: 1/2000
level8: 1/6000

normal item drops:
1/250
in the llirrem Dungeon: 1/125

About normal drops...

• You can only get them from level 1-7 monsters... BUT that is an OLD OLD request from RUSSEL (if ya'll know who he was). Could be taken out by a popular vote.
• the item drops are split up into 7 groups.

If you are fighting a level1 monster you can get any item from group 1-3.
If you are fighting a level2 monster you can get any item from group 1-4.
If you are fighting a level3 monster you can get any item from group 1-5.
..
If you are fighting a level6 monster you can get any item from group 1-7.
If you are fighting a level7 monster you can get any item from group 1-7.

ALSO,
Your chances to get an item from the higher groups increases as you fight higher level monsters.
