Gold in Clans (Privacy on the top 10 lists?)

This is just an idea. How bout a new stat in the top 25 lists for the amount of gold that is in the clans?

Adding a new top10 page such as Clan Gold will be trivial.

However, I’m worried about privacy issues.  Should this information be public?  Also I’m wondering if we shouldn’t go back and hide some of the other top10 pages or at least HIDE or partially hide usernames:

Top 10 Gold:

1.)   xxxxx  has 432234324 gold

or
   2) My*s*cb** has 2134324324 gold


I’m now thinking some of these top10 should be private or at least give people an option to hide themselves from top10 reporting.

or make it so you can see what rank you are compared to everyone but it says it next to the stat.  EX: Gold: 4,000,000,000 rank: 1

Personally i think the top lists are like... how to put it... bragging rights or somthing. Would Amar really be trying soo hard to collect gold and lvl if there were no top lists? I really doubt it. Theres ways to hide your gold too... like splitting it up between several chars.

I have never heard somone say "Dam i wish i wasnt on the top lists", But then again some of us would like to keep our lvls a secret or somthing, which is hard to do once your on the top lists.

If there were an option in the F2 control thingy, like a new tab for top lists, and you could check to hide your name and stats from the lvl, gold, bank gold, PK, and PvP lists (seperately), and one in the clan (accessable to clan leaders only) to hide the clan gold, PK count, etc, that would remove a few people from the top lists, and might make some PvP's more interesting...

Or like if you and somone wanted to have a competition to lvl X, you can hide your lvl untill you get there, then surprise the other player when you make it.

Hidden people, if their rank is displayed on the top list, should be replaced with the same number of x's, perhaps 5 or whatever, so that way people with a very long name cant be "found out" so to speak. Only replacing some letters is somewhat useless too because its easy to use process of elimination. Jo*_*e***le = Jon_Deciple.... Not hard to make that connection.

I like the idea of having the ranks in the detailed stats. The Class rank (King, Duke, Countess, etc) should also be in there or somewhere on the screen at least.

well if you know you have, say, 1 bill, and look on the list and see people with 1 bill are, say, 15-20, then you know your prolly in there somewhere

Instead of blocking out names or what not, would it be possible to allow people to "sign up" for certain rankings if they wished to partake in them?  That way people who play to be on the top could and those who don't want to (or those who have banned/stopped playing) would no longer be on said list.  Also give the option for each list so as you could partake in the LVL list but not the GOLD list and vis versa.  Just a thought.

Meh, I love the top 10's personally... I think an opt-out would take away that certainty that you know where you stand...

As for wanting to hide your resoruces or stats... Definite benefits in negotiating when your current assets arent on display, but i really think it really adds somethin concrete to the competition/bragging rights that is worth plenty more than a minor inconvenience to the secretive people among us.
