If player.hp > player.mp then
during lvl add 5 HP
elseif player.mp > player.hp then
during lvl add 5 MP
else
add 2 extra stats to use when you level
endif



dont remember exactly if thats proper VB, close enough to get my point across.
if your HP is greater than your mp you get 5 HP instead of 5 MP when you lvl. Yes/No?

On top of the 60 total STR one can survive by adding 3 HP each level, you want people to be able to survive 100 more total STR?

So, what you are saying is that if some melee guy decides to choose a 1 INT race, and trained on HP a level, they get an extra skill point over us?

thought it was clear as mud apparently it needs more explaining.

if you have more int than str, your usually a mage. So add 5 MP every lvl.

If you have more str than int, your prolly a fighter, add 5 str instead of mp

if your int and str are equil, you get 2 extra points to add instead of getting 5 mp or hp.

HP is more valuable than MP. It's set at a 1:5 ratio.

We gave +MP per level cause its easier to scale the MPcost:damage ratio when we designed the magic system.

Shiris wanted +1 all stats per level (MP is a 1:5 ratio, so +1 all stats would mean +5MP a level), which always made sense to me. Obviously we can't implement such a policy without a wipe. And a wipe is simply not in the cards anytime soon.

About your idea specifically, I think given the way the system is now it would unfair to force +1hp on those with higher str who want +5mp, not to mention the old characters who would want the +hp instead of the +5mp... buuut it might start a boom of new characters...

but like fighters like me that need mp to heal, if I was only getting extremely littleMP, id have to buy pots all the time, and I hate pots  Embarrassed

ok we all love this game right???
then i have another question
why are you tring to change it so much personally i like the 5mp every lvl so i dont have to add it if it wasnt for it i would have 4mp and nvr be able to heal

o o i know most people already have it that way. b/c if you have a character that gives atleast 3 mp a lvl u can never have more base hp than base mp  Tongue
