I'm aware of how long this game as been around since I have been around the whole time aswell.  I would love to see improvement but the game has been on this set of accounts for too long for a wipe to happen now.  That would just kill the population that is currently around.

I would love to see all of the suggestions you have made recently about items with effects, degrading quality, and new maps be put into play.  I think it would be great and certainly keep people around to poke about for a while.  But a wipe will not work with this game, when there was no level cap put into place it made it to be that way.  A wipe now would be so unfair on so many levels.  Back when wipes didnt really matter because there was in relavance to what a wipe would be now nothing lost.  Okay so a few people pouted when they lost their level 20s-30s because leveling was so rediculously hard but that was about it.  There were no rare items or the such!  Nobody was going to be missing out on their 1/110,000 items.

Also, I like simple quest. Tongue  I pay for WoW, I pay for FFXI.  I play Quest because it isnt those two games.  Quest could never be those two games, its not possible.  The developement team is too small and it is based off Visual Basic which does not contain the power to make a game of those multitudes.  Quest will be simple Quest forever if it wants to keep a population, otherwise it will be complicated Quest and there will be relitivly no new players sticking around because it will be too complicated.  But that in no way argues that I do not want to see improvement in the game, but a wipe will just end in a step backwards.

Point one. Quest is in Beta. That's all I should have to say about whether or not a wipe is "fair."

And...simple quest. Oh well. I've heard it a hundred times. I'm not really making the game super complex, as everything is done behind the scenes anyway. But it seems Quest is going to be simple Quest. I'm not asking for classes, I'm not asking for complex racial systems, but the simple Quest arguement was brought up anyway. Eh, feh.

EDIT - Oh, and I guess I should say this. Thanks for liking the ideas, but that's not really what I'm arguing for anymore.

Another edit - Niclamus, you made me think of something. A way to add a poison/bleed/etc. resistance stat...without a wipe or without nerfing anyone. Make it racial. The Ogre and Half-Orc need some love. Give it to them with that. It's a way of getting around it, I guess.
